SUNNAH
Hadrat Ibn Abbaas عنه تعالى ال رضى relates that when Rasulullah وسلم عليه ال صلى would visit any sick person he would say:
Transliteration: Laaba-sa tahoorun, Inshaa Allah
Translation: Have no fear! If Allah wills, your sickness will purify you of your sins.
