Salam WarehmatUllah Wabarakaatoh.

Do they say, "This is NOT in Islam, why are you telling us this? Look here it is said..." ?

Today I am going to explain an important issue that has arisen nowadays mainly because of lack of religious knowledge in the community or it is ALSO because of the lack of knowledge in the people who are UNDER the light of knowledge.

First of all, to start with I would like to say that a community consists of 3 different types of people.

  1. Muslims
  2. Non Muslims
  3. Muslims who do not repent

All three groups of people are present somewhere or the other. Yet their percentage presence varies. In some areas one in a 1000 people is a muslim and in some one in a 1000 people is a non muslim but somehow or the other they are present. Yet the divisions WITHIN the muslims are the ones who repent and ones who do not repent. This varies too but in a much different way. For example in a town Haiderabad, Pakistan, majority consists of muslims and minority inlcudes hindus, christians, athiests and even the Sun worshippers, but their average presence remains almost the same. If the muslims are 90% in that area then they remain from 85% to 95% but unless some event takes place like 911 etc that people migrate from one place to another. Otherwise the percentage remains almost the same.

On the other hand, the percentage of muslim pious men vs the muslim people who are not considered as the pious have a variable difference. The difference can range from the most pious society to the most disturbed society with time.

This piece of writing is a short reminder of HOW to eradicate this HUGE problem. As you see, I live in Rawalpindi, Pakistan and at some points, this city is truly civilized but on the other hand the majority includes evils like kidnapping, evil games, prostitution, riots and a really large scale. The scale at which a hadith is quoted which includes the fact that when the ummat of holy prophet (saw) will stop "amar bil maaroof nahee anil munkar" and when they will start abusing each other then they shall fall from Allah's sight. This level is wrongfulness can be eradicated.

I am only going to give you all a SHORT reminder on how to eradicate it. Firstly, DO consider THIS fact that this piece of writing is NOT valid for ulema. This is ONLY for those who are either really into islam or have undergoed some change in LIFE that has turned them into REALLY Islamic.

Again I would ask you to refer to my video on Life and Ego – By Nouman Ali Khan. Also on youtube.

This problem of not being pious or having evils is not so bad, but the bigger problem comes when the society rejects those who are Islamic. The society gives bad comments and usually avoids them. Whenever a bunch of teenagers are walking beside a road, they fear when they see a man with a beard, a cap, traditional clothes and who looks very Islamic. Either they fear him of being some suicide bomber or they fear that he may stop them all to give a long lecture and embarrass the kids infront of everyone.

In their part, the person is doing right. He is only doing amar bin maaroof nahee anil munkar that’s spreading of goodness and stopping from badness, but this way children run away and in the end who is responsible for them to RUN away from islam? It’s the people with knowledge. They FORCE them to go away because children feel insecure with them. Similarly, the parents avoid there kids to go in such a place where it is full of “corrections”.

Now HOW to finish this problem? Take sunnah for example. There are VERY less events in holy prophet’s (saw) life that he is correcting others in front of people. VERY less events. More events are concerning the believe in imaan. Majority of hadith related to prayer, fasting, daily life routine, taqwaa etc were given in the life in Madinah. But the time holy prophet (saw) spent in Makkah, he only focused on imaan. People should believe in Allah Almighty and have a faith that everything is done from Allah.

What I am trying to say since long is that people should believe in Allah as God and as Rabb (one who gives us food) instead of the shops and markets as the Rabb who give us food, then automatically people will change. When someone is constantly hearing the truth but yet he does not change is only a sign that that respective person is noto BELIEVING in the truth.

This was all I had to say basically for youth and the people who are Islamic but not yet scholars or have a strong grip of quran and sunnah. (basically me). Thanks for reading, Jazakallah.
